spent yesterday in the studio working on a new track...just thinking bout that, i guess.
just got in from having sushi with my buddy "E". we wanted Bubble tea but couldn't find any. we did almost get into a fight with this trashy over-tanned couple...that was fun.
i can't sleep...buzz me. i'm awake and ready to play!

so... i hung out with "Mistress Veronica" tonight...first i walked around the city for like 4 hours today...it was amazing.
just walking around. people watching. looking at all the grafitti on the buildings. sitting in parks.
then i met my girl, "Veronica" for dinner and we had the best conversation...then went walking down the street and what did we run into but a cotton candy machine. it was at this Sushi place and if u eat there it's free. so we had to pay a dollar and they give u a cup of pink sugar and a chopstick and u make your own fuckin cotton candy!!! i made so much and it was sticking to my clothes and my face. haha.
we were totally COTTON CANDY STARS!!!
now i am wired and can't sleep. boo.

who wants to make some cotton candy with me???

i had read last week that Nine Inch Nails was coming out with a new CD...and that it would be FREE.
Of course i remember this happening once before with RadioHead (i think) and i also had read that Incubus was going to follow suit too. so ...i was intrigued.
i kinda forgot about this NIN article when i got an email that the cd had been released...only on their website. so i went in search of some answers.
on their website (www.nin.com) i found out that u can download the first 8 tracks out of 36 for free...then it was only $5 to get all 36 tracks!! rock on! so $5 i did spend.
i started listening and reading more about the album...which is all intrumental.
i would recommend this album to ANYONE! i had the best time listening to this work on my iPod while traveling through the city at night. it’s like i was in my own world...like my life finally had a soundtrack. it was frightning and moving and very raw. I applaud Trent Reznor for making such a living album...not sure if he even realizes what he made or how it effects the everyday things...but, tonight at 1am, while i waited for the subway alone...it was exciting, moving and very emotional. even the walk to my apt was like a movie. total thriller.
and the photography is brilliant. usually with an album u just get to stare at the same pic (usually the album cover) when u listen to each song on your iPod...but he has given each song it’s own photograph while i listen. amazing.
as a choreographer...i want to choreograph every piece. as a songwriter...i want to create lyrics to every phrase. it makes me want to become a cinematographer.
just very inspiring.

'Mistress Veronica was written about a friend of mine...who was a dominatrix.
It was kinda a joke and i thought the song would never be recorded...but i was getting crazyness telling me to record it. so...i did.
I wanted to give it a blues/New Orleans feel.
it's track 2 on my album, "Choked Not Broken".

it is the first song i ever wrote...even though alot of punks think that this song is sexual...it's not. boo.
it is all about being yourself and your own indivuality. dress how u want, do your hair how u want. fuck the wannabe's!
so many times in my life people have called me a FreaK...oh well, so i wrote a song.

this song is for anyone who has ever been called names, laughed at or just not fit in.

I actually wrote this song as a dance track...its true.
after recording it for my first project, "Space Junkie" and performing it....i realized one nite that i had written a ballad.
so when i was recording "Choked Not Broken" i decided to re-record it...and this is what i ended up with.
i have always had a love for that stripped down acoustic version of a song....so...i hope u like it!
